no sample sound in ed!son...

i just installed the ews64xl and it seems that everything work all right but when i load some samples (wavs), or sf2 or anything in ed!son that i can't have any sound then default when i click on virtual keyboard on the bottom of the ed!son window... i did exactly as it says in tutorial and can't get the sound of the sample just that funny sound which i have even before i loaded anything in edison... am i doing something wrong, is there some silly tip or trick which is obvious to everybody than me? help please... i'm so excited to get start with sampling....

First of all. Check midi setting's in Edison.
(MIDI Play) That's your EWS.Second. Check mixer setting's in EWS Mixer setting's and i think it's work

i couldn't fix it but have some more preciouse questions now:
1.) i found in ed!son under MIDI menu: ed!son MIDI setup window... there i can see few options... card, midi input, midi output and keyb cord... under midi output, which is the main guy in my problem i think, i have:
1. EWS64XL FM Synthesis
2. EWS64XL MIDI play
3. EWS64XL MIDI-1
4. EWS64XL Midi-2

i had that funny default tone under 1. EWS64XL FM Synthesis but not the loaded sample.... changed to MIDI play and nothing happened... then i opened Windows Control Panel>Multimedia Properties>MIDI and changed a little bit... and now i don't have even those funny tones when i play virtual keyboard... under Multimedia Properties>MIDI i have:
MIDI output
(.) Single Instrument
EWS64XL FM Synthesis
EWS64XL MIDI play
EWS64XL MIDI-1
EWS64XL Midi-2
which looks pretty the same like options in ed!son ))) so i'm sure it is related in some way.. but i need the answer in which way or what do i need to change in ed!son midi properties and in Control Panel to run my ed!son work properly.... i would do some cool newbies flash tutorial if someone will anser me on those questions... i promise )))

You have to load a standard midibank in your ews ram (i think it was 94sbk080.94b) before you start ed!son.
The funny sound are from the fm-symth, these are some simple waveforms. fm stands for frequence modulation. i think its a bit like an analoge synth - that means no real samples just one waveform (interval).
